oin us on the evening of December 6 to celebrate the release of World of Warcraft: Cataclysm and be among the first to purchase and play the new expansion*!

Meet up with fellow World of Warcraft players for a night of camaraderie and exciting events, including contests, prizes, dancing, and more! All European launch events will also feature a costume contest showcasing players' favourite attire from the game with great prizes for the winners. Participants will also be given priority to enter their local event, so start gearing up! Events will take place in Berlin, London, Madrid, Moscow, Paris, Rotterdam, and Stockholm. For more information on official World of Warcraft: Cataclysm launch celebrations near you, including times and a list of local activities and events, check out the launch events website.

If you don’t live close enough to one of the events, don’t worry — there are thousands of retailers opening at midnight across Europe. For a list of participating stores in your local area, take a look at our Cataclysm midnight opening directory. There may even be additional stores opening in your area, so be sure to check availability with your local retailer.

Moonkin Hatchling & Lil' Ragnaros Now Available

In recent days, two new pets have hit the Blizzard Pet Store: Lil’ Ragnaros and the Moonkin Hatchling. Adopt a Moonkin Hatchling by December 31, 2010, and Blizzard Entertainment will donate 50% of the 10€ price to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Just like last year’s Pandaren Monk, the Moonkin Hatchling has a soft spot for helping children. Help us to beat last year’s record of $1.1 million in donations and get a cute in-game companion to boot!
